The podcast features Aileen Wiglesworth, PhD, who holds a doctoral degree in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine. Dr. Wiglesworth is the lead researcher on several projects: (1) “Abuse of Elders with Dementia: Toward a Model of Prediction” by the California Department of Health Services; (2) “Bruising as a Forensic Marker of Physical Elder Abuse” by the National Institute of Justice, (3) “Estimating Incidence of Elder Abuse from Social Services Data” by the Archstone Foundation; and (4) “Development and Validation of a Criterion Standard for Elder Mistreatment” by the National Institutes of Aging.
