When I ran out to grab some lunch today my radio was set to NPR. And the topic featured on Talk of the Nation? The Hidden Faces of Modern-Day Slavery. While I confess I wasn’t in love with the interviewer’s questions as a whole, the guests were pretty fascinating.

It’s an important reminder that there isn’t just one face of human trafficking, nor only one set of circumstances in which you’ll find victims of trafficking working. A good lesson for clinicians as we consider what exactly screening should look like in the healthcare setting.
