My Son Was a Columbine Shooter

I listened to this TEDMED talk last week, and I will tell you right now, it’s not an easy or comfortable listen, for so many reasons. I saw the TV interview and I was captivated by her strength and resilience. However I was mostly amazed how she has taken this tragedy and used it to enlighten and inform. As forensic nurses I urge everyone to take the time to witness the restorative effects of resiliency. We have so many patients that may appear “weak” but they are stronger then we will ever know!.
