Congressional Lunch Briefing with Honorary Co-Chairs Senator Tom Harkin and Congresswoman Louise Slaughter entitled : “Violence and Abuse: How Public Health Can Help Prevent and Respond” on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. in U.S. Capitol Visitors Center, Room House 201.
NHCVA, which includes leaders from the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Nurses Association, and American Academy of Pediatrics, will host a panel of speakers who will discuss health impact of, and the need for prevention, to be integrated into the national public health agenda and promising initiatives that leaders are implementing to address this issue at the state level.
