From the announcement:
Evaluation of strangulation in the pediatric population is often overlooked and under assessed. This webinar will discuss strangulation in the living pediatric patient. A brief review of strangulation will be provided with a focus on discussing the differences in pediatric anatomy verses adult anatomy that may impact strangulation in a child. Case studies of pediatric strangulation patients who presented to a forensic nurse examiner program will be utilized. Presenting signs and symptoms, patient and caregiver histories, clinical evaluation and case outcome (when known) will be included.
